The hands are of Dauphine style in the gold tone, with the tapered central second hand meeting the inner track. To the right is the original Omega signed crown with the domed design. The case back screws into place with the circular brushed finish. Inside it is signed with the reference 2635-1. The movement is an Omega calibre 351 which is a bumper automatic. It has been recently serviced and is keeping accurate time.
The dial is a silver satin tone with the even, lightly speckled patination. It has the long arrow hour markers with the arabic 12, 3, 6 and 9. These provide a balance to the dial and points of intrigue to break up the arrow markers. The markers are applied, giving a depth to the design. The central second track sits within the hour markers with the detailed 1/5th second markers. The Dauphine style hour and minute hands are a gold tone, with the original tapered central second hand. This meets the inner track neatly, highlighting the smooth sweep of the calibre. The Omega logo is applied below 12 O’clock in the gold tone, with the Omega Automatic signing below. The the base of the dial is the ‘Swiss Made’ signing.
The case is well proportioned with a width and length of 33mm. The crown adds presence to the case, taking the total width to just under 36mm, whilst the lugs extend the total length to 40mm. With a depth of just under 10mm, it is a relatively slim watch which is a comfortable wear. The centre of the case is circular with the slightly downturned bezel falling to meet to flat sides of the case. The bezel and the top of the lugs have the polished finish. The lugs are stylish and a standout aspect of the design. They step out from the case with an applied appearance with the swooping horn design tapering to the tip. These add texture and intrigue to the case. The sides have the brushed finish which separates the front and rear well. To the right is the original domed crown with the Omega logo.
The rear of the lugs are lightly brushed with the screwback having the polished surround. The face of the case back has the circular brushed sunburst finishing. It has the 6 notches for opening and is free of deep marks from poor opening attempts. The inside of the case has the perlage finishing with the Omega signing and the reference number 2635-1.
The movement has the classic rose gold tone finish from the era which is good and unworn. It is a calibre 351 movement which is a bumper automatic. It has a jewel count of 17 and operates at a frequency of 19,800 BPH. It also benefits from Incabloc shock protection and a sweep second hand. It has been recently serviced and is keeping accurate time to within 15 seconds variation a day.
The watch is modelled on a 7" wrist diameter
