Here we have a stunning 1960s Roamer Pall-Mall dress watch with the C-shaped case and a high-quality textured dial by Beyeler. It is the reference 481-8230. It has a gold-plated case which has the satin brushed finish to the bezel and a neat crown with the Sapphire cabochon inset. The dial has the eye-catching textured finish with the black painted italic hour markers. It is signed Roamer, with the Pall-Mall model name. It has the black painted stick hands which match the hour markers. The case back is stainless steel with the model signing. Inside is the manual wind Peseux calibre 7001 movement which is keeping accurate time. 
It comes on the original Roamer leather strap, with the Roamer signed buckle. 
 
With out a doubt the dial is the standout aspect of this watch. It is an excellent quality piece of design, manufactured by Beyeler. Beyeler are an excellent Swiss dial maker who have produced dials for Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Tudor, amongst others. It has the repeated textured Fluer-de-lis motifs in a gold tone. They have a polished finish to the raised motifs with the grained finish to the base. The hour markers are painted in the black tone. They are a stylised italic Arabic numeral design. The dial is signed below 12 with the Roamer name, with the ‘Pall-Mall’ model name above 6. The stick style hands are black painted to match the hour markers.
 
The case is a classic C-shaped design, synonymous with the late 1960s into the early 1970s. It is well proportioned, measuring 34.5mm wide by 32.5mm in length. With the lugs it has a total length of 37.4mm which adds to its presence. The depth of just over 7mm makes this a sleek wear on the wrist. The bezel has the satin brushed finish which is a subtle foil to the texture provided by the dial. This feeds into the bevelled edge with the polished finish. To the right is the neat crown with the coin edge finish and the in-set Sapphire cabochon.
The case back is Stainless Steel and snaps in place, holding the movement. It has the polished edge with the brushed finish to the face. It is signed as Swiss Made and is marked with the reference 481 8230. 
 
Inside is the Peseux calibre 7001 movement, which is manual wind. It has a jewel count of 17, with a frequency of 18,000 BPH. It is shock protected and is a robust and quality movement. It is keeping accurate time to within 7 seconds variation a day.
 
The watch comes on its original Roamer leather strap, with the signed Roamer buckle, a rare pairing with a watch of this age.

The case back is formed of Stainless Steel and is in good condition. It has light surface scratching associated with age. The engraving is good and clear. The brushed finish is good to the face.
 
Strap: 
The watch comes on its original Roamer leather strap, with the Roamer buckle. It is in good vintage condition.
 
Movement: 
The movement is a Peseux 7001. It is a manual wind with a jewel count of 17. It has a 45-hour power reserve with a frequency of 18,000 BPH. It is shock protected. 
The movement service history is unknown but is in very good condition. It’s keeping time to within +/- 7 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 280 degrees and a beat error of 0.8m/s.
