For sale we have an elegant 1972 Omega Deville dress watch. The circular gold-plated case is neat measuring 33mm x 33mm. The lugs are short and neat with a curved bevel to the tip. The neat Omega signed crown is original. The dial is a silver satin tone with a linear brushed finish with simple black painted baton markers, with applied omega logo and Deville signing. The watch has a snap on Stainless back with the reference 111.077. It has a quality Omega calibre 620 manual wind movement. It has the classic rose gold tone plating of the period, with a jewel count of 17. It is keeping excellent time to within 3 seconds variation a day.

 

This has all the DNA traits to be the perfect dress watch. Simple, slim enough to fit under the cuff. Manufactured by a top brand with a quality manual wind movement calibre.

 

The case is gold plated and is in good overall condition with no visible wear to the plate. It has a simple polished bezel with a subtle fall to it which neatly surrounds the dial, catching the light. The lugs are simple and short with a curved facet to the tip following the line of the case. The omega crown is original and neat.

A very good original dial with clean and classic black painted applied baton markers, with simple Omega applied logo and signing. The linear brushed finish is exceptional and adds some complexity to an otherwise very clean piece of design.

 

The pencil hands are also black painted which ties in with the baton markers. They are excellent, simple and clean. A true dress watch configuration with no need for a second hand.

 

The snap on back is Stainless Steel with polished outer finish and brushed face. Inside it is signed with the Reference 111.077.

 

The watch is proudly presented on brown leather crocodile style strap for 17mm lugs, which is thick and quality.

 

The movement is an Omega cal 620. It has a jewel count of 17 and is marked as adjusted to two positions. It has a frequency of 19,800 BPH, with a 42 hour power reserve. A reliable and accurate movement which is keeping time to -2 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 300.

Dial:

The dial is in very good original condition. It has a silver satin finish with a linear brushed finish. The signing is good and clean, with applied omega logo and black painted thin applied baton markers.

 

Hands:

The hands are pencil style. They are original and are gold tone with black painted finish.  

Glass:

The acrylic crystal is original with some light surface scratches.

 

Crown:

The gold plated crown is original, in good condition, with Omega signing.

 

Case:

The case is gold plated and is in good overall condition with no visible wear to the plate. It has light surface scratching associated with ageing and is in good condition for the age.

 

Caseback:

The snap on back is Stainless Steel and is in good condition for the age. It has light surface scratching, with a brushed surface to the centre. There are some other markers from poor opening.

 

Strap:

The watch comes on brown leather crocodile style strap for 17mm lugs.

 

Movement:

The movement is an Omega cal 620. It has a jewel count of 17 and is marked as adjusted to two positions. It has a frequency of 19,800 BPH, with a 42 hour power reserve.

 

The service history is unknown, but the movement is in good condition and is keeping good time. It’s keeping time to -2 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 300 degrees and a beat error of 0.5m/s.
