Here we have a good, original example of a 1973 Omega Geneve reference 1660163. It has a 35mm Stainless steel case with the flat front and sides, with the 6-notch screw back. It the classic silver sunburst dial with the applied steel baton markers, with the black stripe to the middle and luminous plots to the base. At 3 O’clock is the date window with the black surround and the curved bevelled sides. The original acrylic crystal is present with the Omega etching. To the right is the original Omega signed crown. Inside is the automatic Omega calibre 1012 movement, with hi-beat rate, hacking seconds and quickset date function. It is in good condition, keeping accurate time.
The Silver sunburst dial has a clear graining which radiates in the light. The applied baton hour markers are a silver tone, with a polished finish and a black stripe to the centre. To the base of the hour markers are the original, aged luminous plots. The Omega logo, name and automatic signing are clean, as well as the “Geneve” and “Swiss Made" signing. At 3 O’clock it has the curved bevelled date window with the black surround. The date wheel is a silver tone with a speckled shine, with the black Arabic numerals.
The hands are of luminous index style, with a mirror polished finish and black stripe to the centre. The original lume in-fill is present to the centre.
The case measures 35mm x 35mm making is a classic proportion, which is also very wearable by modern tastes too. It has a width with frown of 37.5mm and a lug-to-lug length of 41.5mm which both add presence. It sits neatly on the wrist with a slim depth of 10mm.
The Stainless-Steel case is in good, unpolished condition. It has a flat top of the case which falls to meet the flat sides. The lugs are a straight, slightly tapered design which follows from the case creating an angular presence. The sides of the case have a flat polished finish. The reference correct crown to the right-hand side is good, with coin edge finish and clear Omega logo. To the rear, the screwback has the original brushed finish to the face, with a polished outer section. Inside, it is signed with the reference 1660163. It has the “LL” mark for Louis Lang, who manufactured the case for Omega.
Inside, the Omega calibre 1012 movement, with the classic rose gold finish. It is 23 jewel automatic calibre, with a hi-beat rate of 28,800 BPH. It has hacking seconds and a quickset date function. The service history is unknown, but it is in good condition and keeping accurate time within +/- 5 seconds a day.

Dial:
The dial is original and is in very good condition. It is a silver tone with a bright sunburst finish. The hour markers are without marking. It has the original, aged tritium lume plots to the base of the hour markers. The signing is in good condition and is clear.
Hands:
The hands are original, of luminous index style. They have the original luminous in-fill and black painted centre. They have light surface scratching associated with age.
Glass:
The acrylic crystal is original and is in good condition with some light marks. It has the Omega etching.
Crown:
The Omega crown is original and the logo is good and clear.
Case:
The case is Stainless Steel and is in decent unpolished condition. It has a polished finish with light surface scratching.
Caseback:
The case back is formed of steel and is in good condition for the age. It is a screw back, with a brushed finish to the flat face. It has light surface scratching consistent with age, and some scratches from poor opening.
Strap:
The watch comes on a new genuine leather strap, which is non-Omega. The buckle is non-Omega.
Movement:
The movement is an Omega calibre 1012. It is an automatic movement with a jewel count of 23. It has a frequency of 28,800 BPH. It is shock protected, with sweep second hand and a quickset date function.
The service history is unknown, but it is in good condition and keeping accurate time within +/- 5 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 270 degrees and a beat error of 0.3 m/s.
