For sale we have a 1978 Omega De Ville gold plated roman numeral dial dress watch. It is a reference 511.0472, which comes with its original box and signed paperwork. The gold-plated case measures 27.5mm x 32mm and has a snap on Stainless-Steel back. To the right is the original Omega signed crown. Inside is a calibre 625 manual wind movement, which has been recently serviced and is keeping accurate time. A fun 1970s Omega De Ville, with a neat oval shaped case.

Dial:
The dial is original and is in decent condition for the age. It has a brushed champagne tone with black signing. The signing is good and clear. There are some scratches to the finish, towards the centre of the dial.
Hands:
The hands are original. They are black painted and have no obvious marking.
Glass:
The acrylic crystal is original and is in good condition with some light marks.
Crown:
The Omega crown is original and the logo is good and clear.
Case:
The case is gold plated. It has signs of wear and un-even plating with age. The plating has worn in some areas.
Caseback:
The case back is formed of steel and is in good condition for the age. It is a snap on with brushed finish. It has light surface scratching consistent with age, and some slightly deeper scratch from poor opening.
Strap:
The watch comes on a new, non-Omega strap, with unbranded gold tone buckle.
Movement:
The movement is an Omega calibre 625. It is a manual wind movement with a jewel count of 17. It has a frequency of 21,600 BPH and is shock protected.
The movement has been recently serviced. It’s keeping time to +15 seconds a day, with an amplitude of 315 degrees and a beat error of 0.0 m/s.
