For sale we have a lovely example of a 1980s Omega De Ville Quartz 1353 ladies watch. It has a 9ct gold case with integrated 9ct gold Omega signed bracelet. This is a beautiful gold watch that would look great in the workplace or during evening drinks/dinner. The watch comes within a Red Omega Service case. The watch is set by pressing in the corrector on the crown to advance the hands.

This is a watch that has been wonderfully kept by its previous owner, who was the sole owner of the watch from new in the early 1980s. It was always insured and has been regularly maintained with Swiss Time Services, including evidence of all work included in a folder. Overall, the watch has had around £2550 spent in it across its lifetime.

The dial is in very good condition. It has a Champagne base tone with a brushed shine. It is a lovely simplistic dial. There are simple applied hour markers around the exterior, with Omega logo and signing below 12 O’clock, De Ville Quartz below the hands, and Swiss Made to the foot of the dial.

The hands are of sword style and are black painted. They are in very good condition. The crown and corrector are in excellent condition and function correctly.

The circular case is formed of 9ct gold and is in good condition. The case has a polished finish with light surface scratching consistent with age. The bracelet is soldered to the case.

The case back is formed of 9ct gold. It is in good condition, with surface scratching consistent with ageing. It has a brushed finish to the main face, which has been refinished. It is signed with the reference “1353” with Swiss hallmarking to the rear. Inside it has Swiss hallmarking for 9ct gold. It is signed Omega Watch Co, with the reference 7301.

The bracelet was masterfully reworked with the old machinery, to original specification, by Swiss Time Services in 2011 at a cost of £1490. It is in excellent condition with a frosted finish to the Omega signed buckle. It will fit up to a 6.75” wrist diameter.

The movement is an Omega calibre 1353B, which is a modern replacement for the troublesome calibre 1353 push set movements. The movement was replaced in 2018 with a modern equivalent by Swiss Time Services LTD Omega service centre in the UK. The service and movement replacement invoice are included with the watch, showing a cost of £625. It is keeping good time as expected.
