Here we have a luxurious 1980s Raymond Weil Polo Gents watch, reference 9122. It is a similar design to the Piaget Polo, with its own twist. It has a sleek 33.5mm case, with an integrated bracelet design. This provides a seamless canvas for the banded two-tone design. It has yellow gold plated bark textured bands, with polished white gold plated ribs. The dial has a standout tri-colour dial, with shades of champagne, light salmon and light blue with gold mirror finish banding in-between. It has a brushed sunburst finish which radiates from the centre. The Dauphine style hour and minute hand indicate the time. To the rear is the snap-on case back with the reference 9122. Inside is the Raymond Weil calibre 603 Quartz movement. It has had a new battery fitted and is keeping accurate time.

Despite this being a watch that speaks for itself, it would be a crime not to wax lyrical over the complexity of the finishes which make it such an eye-catching piece.

The case is well proportioned as a dress piece. It measures 33.5mm wide with a total case length of 37.75mm. It is a slim and neat wear with its 6mm depth. The crown is semi recessed which fits the smooth, integrated look. The nature of the bracelets smooth articulation also makes this a comfortable wear with flexibility in its design.

The banded two-tone finish consists of a ribbed, polished white gold plating and wider bands of textured yellow gold-plated finish. The texture of the bark elements dovetails perfectly with the polished ribs catching the light.

The dial is beautiful. It is a standout tri-colour dial, with shades of champagne, light salmon and light blue with gold mirror finish banding in-between. It has a brushed sunburst finish which radiates from the centre and adds another layer of eye-catching texture. It has the applied three-dimensional Raymond Weil logo at 12, with the signing below in black. Simple, yet elegant gold tone Dauphine style hands indicate the time.

To the rear of the case is the snap-on case back which has the reference number 9122. It is also marked as 18k gold electroplated. Inside is the Raymond Weil 603 quartz calibre. It has a jewel count of 7 and displays the hours and minutes. It has had a new battery fitted and is keeping accurate time.

The bracelet has spare links which mean it will fit any wrist circumference.

With this joyful reference from Raymond Weil, you can enjoy all the fun of a funky 1980s Piaget Polo, with added design twists, for a fraction of the price.
