This is an interesting watch from the 1980s which is unbranded and has been assembled using a NOS Valjoux 886 movement. The case is chrome plated, with an exhibition case back and great quality custom made dial. The watch is packed with impressive functions. The Valjoux 886 is an extremely well made and complicated movement, owing to the number of functions. It is a manual wind chronograph movement with 17 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 BPH. It has a chronograph function, constant seconds, 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, day, month, date pointer and moonphase.

The dial is original and is in excellent condition. It has a silver satin base tone. Around the exterior of the dial is the date with the second markers to 1/5th of a second inside of this. The hour markers are black Arabic numerals in a stylised font. Below 12 O’clock is the day and month window which is white with black writing. The watch has 3 sub-dials that are inset into the dial with circular grained finishes. At 9 O’clock is the constant seconds, whilst the 30-minute counter is at 3 O’clock. The 12-hour counter and moonphase window are at 6 O’clock. The dial is signed Swiss Made to the bottom.

The front of the case is chrome plated. It is in good condition for its age. It has a brushed finish to the top of the case. The sides are polished and are in good condition. This is a chunky late 70s early 80s design of case.

The case back is chrome plated and is in good condition. It has multiple light surface scratches to the polished finish. The exhibition case back is in good condition, with no marking to the crystal. There are signs of wear to the chrome finish as expected with age.

The movement is an Valjoux 886 calibre, which was NOS and cased into this watch in the 1980s. The movement was clearly designed to be the show piece of this watch and rightly so. The watch has been recently serviced. It is in excellent condition cosmetically. It has a daily loss of -15 seconds, with an amplitude of 300 degrees and a beat error of 0.0m/s.

The hands are original. They are in good condition with no bending and minimal corrosion. The crystal is original and is in very good condition with no obvious marking. The crown appears to be original and is in good condition with only light surface scratches. The pushers appear to be Stainless Steel and are original. They are in good condition with only light surface scratching.

The watch is on a STL Stelux bracelet which is in very good condition with light surface scratching.
