This is a quality watch by the famous Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, Blancpain. It has a 34mm two tone case, consisting of Stainless Steel and 18k gold. The dial is clear and minimalistic with its cream tone and raised Roman numerals. The design is distinctive and unmistakeably high quality. It is not easy to achieve such as impressively thin, automatic triple date moon phase. This is enabled by the calibre 95 automatic movement. It is watch only, with no box or papers, on a non-original strap.
The month is adjusted by the top right pusher, with the bottom right advancing the date pointer. The day is adjusted by the top left pusher, with the bottom left advancing the moon phase.
The dial is in very good original condition. It is an off white/cream base tone. It is a simple, yet elegant dial with gold tone applied Roman Numerals around the exterior. These are subtly raised adding depth to the dial. This is further complimented by the date chapter ring, which is inset into the dial, with numbers 1-31 within this. The day and month window are below 12 O’clock. They are framed within a black rectangle, with the frame faceted, meeting the date window. The day and month are written in black, on a white base tone.
The moon phase window is set above 6 O’clock. The crescent shape window highlights the deep blue moon phase indicator, with gold moon and stars.
The dial is signed ‘Blancpain Automatic’, with ‘Swiss Made’ at 6 O’clock.
The case is well proportioned, measuring 34mm x 34mm, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 38mm. It is a bi-metal case, formed of Stainless Steel, with an 18k gold chapter ring.
The bezel is comprised of 3 steps. The top section that holds the glass is Stainless-Steel, with an 18k gold chapter ring to the centre. Below is a Stainless-Steel step that finishes the bezel. There is one slight mark to the 18k chapter ring near 4 O’clock. The sides of the case are polished and are in good condition, with some light surface scratching.
The case back is Stainless Steel and is a snap back. It has been re-grained previously which makes the serial number harder to see. It is signed ‘Blancpain’, ‘no. 621.’
The hands are original. They are in good condition with no bending or corrosion. They are of leaf style and are gold tone. The date pointer hand is painted blue to the end.
The glass is a sapphire crystal which is original. There is a scratch to the crystal over 4 O’clock. The crown is original to the watch and is in good condition, with a coin edge finish. The watch is on a new 19mm watch geckota strap.
The movement is a Blancpain calibre 95. It has 19 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions. It is a high-quality calibre, with expert finishing. It is a particularly thin automatic calibre that allows for a neat watch with complication.
The service history is unknown, but the movement is in good condition cosmetically and is keeping very good time. It has a daily loss of -3 seconds, with an amplitude of 265 degrees and a beat error of 0.2 m/s.
