Here we have a luxurious 1990s Bueche Girod Gents tank watch, which has an eye-catching silver ribbed TV style case. It is a watch for the French market, which French hallmarking to the case. It has the raised double banded finish to the top and bottom of the case, with the flat polished finish either side of the dial. The dial is a bright white lacquered tone, with the elegant black roman numerals and Bueche Girod signing. The hands are of sword style and are black painted to match the markers. The sides of the case have a neat, brushed finish, with the crown set with dark cabochon to the right hand side. The rear has the brushed finish with the Bueche Girod name and silver signing. Inside it has the ‘BG’ signing with further French hallmarking for 925 silver. Inside is the ETA 976.001 Quartz movement, which is keeping reliable time.
 
This is a classy dress piece which stands out on the wrist with its shape and ribbed design. The simple dial compliments the case and creates a considered, yet subtle design. 
 
Bueche Girod:
Bueche Girod was founded in 1947 by master watchmaker Vital Bueche and gained a reputation for high quality dress pieces, formed of precious metals with stone dials, gemstones and complex bracelet designs. They were known to use high grade movements and thin calibres to complement their dress design pieces. Production ceased in the 2000s, with the brands beautifully crafted watches becoming very collectable.

Dial: 
The dial is original and is in good condition. It has a lacquered shine, with the black roman numerals and Bueche Girod signing. There is slight wear to the signing where the dial meets the case.
 
Hands: 
The stick style hands are original and are black painted. They are in good condition, with no obvious wear.
 
Glass: 
The glass is original and is in good condition, with no obvious marking. 
 
Crown: 
The crown appears original with the neat coin edge finish and the dark cabochon set to the end. It is in good condition.
 
Case:
The case is silver and is in good condition. It has a polished finish to the top, with a brushed finish to the sides. It has some light scratching associated with age. It is clean and free of tarnishing.
 
Caseback:
The Silver snap-on case back is in good condition. It has the brushed finish, with the hallmark and Bueche Girod engravings good and clear. It has some light surface scratching. 
 
Strap: 
The watch comes on an Italian Crocodile leather strap which is in good condition.
 
Movement: 
The movement is an ETA calibre 976.001. It is a reliable 6 jewel quartz movement. 
 
The movement service history is unknown, but it is in good condition and has had a new battery fitted.
