Here we have a classic gold dress watch from a quality Swiss brand. This mid 1990s Longines Presence has a slim 9ct yellow gold case and is marked as the reference 3979 150. This classic range is still available to this day, although solid gold examples are significantly more expensive now. 
 
The case is classic and neat, measuring 33mm wide by 33mm in length. It measures 37mm lug-to-lug, with a slim case depth of 4.8mm. The case has a polished finish. The case back is also 9ct gold and is a snap on fit. It has a brushed finish, with the serial number “25.188.364”. Inside it is signed Longines, Swiss Made. It has the reference number 3979 150. It also has Swiss hallmarking for 9ct gold.
 
The dial is a champagne satin base tone. The hour markers are neatly applied in a gold tone and are of baton style. The dial is signed Longines below 12 O’clock, with the winged hourglass logo and is signed Quartz. It is also signed ‘Presence’ above 6 O’clock. As a classic dress watch, it has two hands which are of stick style and are a gold tone. They have a polished finish and shine nicely in the light.
The movement is a Longines L150.2 Quartz movement which is an ETA 256.031 base calibre. It has a jewel count of 6 and is a good quality and reliable movement. It’s keeping time as expected and has had a new battery fitted.

Dial: 
The dial is original and is in very good condition. It has a champagne gloss base tone with applied gold tone batton hour markers. The markers are free of marking. The dial signing is good and clear. 
 
Hands: 
The hands are original and are of stick style in a gold tone. They have the polished finish which shines brightly. 
 
Glass: 
The crystal is original and is in good condition.
 
Crown: 
The crown is original in a gold tone. It is in good condition with light marking. 
 
Case:
The case is 9ct yellow gold and is in decent condition for the age. The bezel has scratching associated with age. The sides of the case have the polished finish with marking associated with age.
 
Caseback:
The case back is formed of 9ct gold and is in average condition. It has the original brushed finish with light scratching associated with age. It has a slight dimpled dent. The hallmarking and serial are good and clear.  
 
Strap:
The watch is on a new genuine leather strap. It is non Longines and has an unsigned gold tone buckle.
 
Movement: 
The movement is a Longines L150.2 Quartz movement which is an ETA 256.031 base calibre. It has a jewel count of 6 and is a good quality and reliable movement.
 
The service history is unknown, but it is in good condition. It’s keeping time as expected and has had a new battery fitted.
