Here we have a 1995 Breitling Colt Quartz reference A57035. It has a 38mm Stainless Steel case, with uni-directional rotating bezel. It has a screw down crown and is rated as being water resistant to 300m. It has the dark grey dial, with the clear luminous Arabic numerals, with hours minutes, central seconds and date function. It comes on its original Stainless-Steel bracelet with signed clasp, which is a long length suitable for any wrist. It is a full set with its original boxes and signed paperwork. A neat original example.

The watch was originally purchased from Watches of Switzerland in Manchester in January of 1995. It is a full set, coming with its original inner and outer box. It also has all of its original accompaniments, including its international warranty booklet, instructions, and Watches of Switzerland signed guarantee.

The dial is original and is the dark grey variation. It has clear arabic numerals with a white base and luminous paint on top. Inside of them is the white 24-hour track. The exterior of the dial has simple and clear dash minute/second markers. The date window is at 3 O’clock, with the facetted surround and white boarder. Below 12 the dial has the gold tone Breitling logo and signing. Above 6, it is signed ‘Quartz’ and ‘300m 1000ft’.

The hour and minute hand are of index style and are white painted, as is the lollipop style second hand. The luminous in-fill is original and has aged to a darker tone in areas. The hands still have a bright white finish.

These are protected by the mineral crystal which sits flat against the bezel. The bezel is formed of Steel with the raised polished section surrounding the glass. It has raised sections at 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes, with the lume pip at 60. The minute track has a brushed finish, with the engraved markers. It is uni-directional and has a controlled click.

The case measures 38mm wide, with a total width of 41mm with the crown which makes it a neatly proportioned tool watch. The lug-to-lug length is 43mm adds to the presence on the wrist and makes it wear somewhat larger than its strict width. It is also a comfortable wear with a depth of just over 10mm. It has the satin brushed finish to the top, sides and rear, which is not flashy, allowing the polished accents of the bezel to catch the eye.

To the right is the screw down crown which is signed with the Breitling logo.

To the rear is the screw back which has 6 clear notches for opening. It is signed with the Breitling name and the specifications of the model, with the reference number. It has the brushed satin finish, matching the front of the case.

The watch is powered by the ETA 955.412 Quarts movement. It displays the hours and minutes, with central second. It has the ease of the quickset date function. It has had a new battery fitted and is functioning as it should, keeping accurate time.

The watch comes on its original Stainless Steel Breitling bracelet. It has the deployment clasp with fold over lock. It also has divers extension built in. It is a long bracelet which will fit any wrist size. The end links are marked with the reference 801A. It has the internal Breitling signing, with the logo and singing to the outside of the clasp.

Overall, this is a neat original example of a classic tool watch from Breitling. It is a nice one to own with the benefit of its full box and paperwork.
