Here we have a very good example of a full set Mid-size 2003 Omega Seamaster reference 22638000. It has a 36.25mm Stainless Steel case with the Steel unidirectional rotating bezel and the Helium escape valve. The dial has the textured with finish with an electric blue tone. This is protected by the domed anti-reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Inside is the Quartz calibre 1538 which has a quickset date function. It comes on its original bracelet, with locking fold over clasp and divers extension. 
 
It was originally purchased from Ernest Jones in Bromley on the 29/09/03. It comes with its original inner and outer box. It also has its operating instructions book and the signed warranty card and pictogram card.
 
The case is mid-size, measuring 36.25mm x 36.25mm. It is a neatly proportioned diver, which has the usual presence associated with the larger screw down crown and Helium escape valve. The lug-to-lug length also adds presence at 45mm in length. It has a beautiful, brushed finish to the top and sides of the lugs, with a polished surround to the crown guard. 
The bezel is a classic uni-directional count down layout. It is eye-catching with the brushed scalloped finish to the outside and the high polished insert. The minute markers are applied enamel, with the lume pip at 60 minutes. The sapphire crystal has a subtle domed finish with the legibility aided by the anti-reflective coating. The case back has a brushed outer finish, with 5 notches to open it. To the face it has the matching textured wave finish of the dial, with the Seamaster hippocampus. 
 
The dial has the classic textured wave pattern. It tone is eye catching, varying from deep blue to electric blue as it catches the light. It large luminous door stop batons, with the white dash minute/second markers. It is signed with the white omega logo below 12, with the Seamaster professional script above 6, with the depth rating. It is signed ‘Swiss made’ either side of 6 O’clock. The date window is neatly positioned at 3 O’clock with the bevelled edge to the window. 
 
Inside is the Omega calibre 1538 6 jewel Quartz movement. Some people may see Quartz as inferior, but with a diver such as this it provides excellent accuracy and has the benefit of longer service intervals and lower costs.
It has a Rhodium plated finish which gives it a silver tone. It displays the hours and minutes, with central seconds. It has a quick set date function. It has been recently serviced and has a new battery. 
 
The watch is presented on its original Stainless Steel bracelet, reference 1612/932. It has the correct 932 end links. It has the brushed finish, with polished double band to the sides of the centre link. Fold over locking clasp has the ‘Omega Seamaster Professional’ signing. It benefits from spare links, meaning it will fit up to an 8” wrist diameter. It also has inbuilt divers extension. 
 
Overall, this is a very good example of a full set, with the benefit of its recent service and refinishing.

The dial is original and is in very good condition. There are no signs of ageing. 
 
Hands: 
The hands are original and are in very good condition. The lume in original and bright. There is no noticeable marking.  
 
Glass: 
The sapphire crystal is original and is in excellent condition with no marking.
 
Crown: 
The screw down crown is in very good condition, screwing down as it should. There are no marks, and the Omega logo is clear and defined.
 
Bezel:
The stainless-steel bezel is good, with the polished insert. It has the inlaid black markers which are good and the lume pip. It has light scratching associated with age. 
 
Case:
The case is formed of stainless steel and is in very good condition. It has been refinished in its recent service, to correct specification by an Omega certified centre.
 
Caseback:
The case back is formed of Steel and is a screw back. It is in good condition with only light marking. The engravings and good and clear. 
 
Bracelet:
The watch comes on its original Omega bracelet. The end links are marked 932. It will fit up to an 8” wrist diameter. The clasp has a fold over lock with divers extension. The clasp signing is clear and defined. It has been refinished to Omega specification and is in very good condition with the brushed and polished finishes. 
 
Movement: 
Inside is the Omega calibre 1538 6 jewel Quartz movement. It is an ETA 255.461 base calibre. It has a Rhodium plated finish. It displays the hours and minutes, with central seconds. It has a quick set date function. It has been serviced and has a new battery.
