For sale we have a beautiful 2004 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date reference 118239. It is an 18ct white gold model, with white gold fluted bezel and white gold president bracelet. It also has a factory original diamond dial. It has 8 round diamonds, with 2 of baguette style balancing with the date window. It comes with full boxing, documentation and tags. 
 
Aftermarket Diamond Rolex watches cross the line with regards to being garish and ostentatious. Rolex factory diamond dials are considered and provide the ultimate combination of class and luxury. The dial was the finest available from Rolex at the time and is absolutely mesmerising.
 
The current 36mm Day-Date 18ct white gold factory diamond dial on offer by Rolex, retails for a base price of £34,550 with limited availability. This makes the 118239 a desirable alternative with its similarities and comparatively lesser price.
 
The watch comes with its original inner and outer box. It comes with its original hang tag with serial number sticker and barcode. It also has the Rolex Day-Date instructions, with original signed Rolex Warranty, dated 2004. It was originally sold by Tourneau in the US. It comes with the Certified Pre-owned card from its purchase as Watches of Switzerland. 
 
The watch was purchased in 2019 by the current owner, via Watches of Switzerlands pre-owned certification scheme. It has since been lightly worn, before being stored in a safe. It was serviced when purchased. The watch comes with a clean watch register check. 
 
The bracelet is long and un-adjusted, with 8 links to one side and 16 to the other.

Dial: 
The silver dial is factory, with 10 factory set diamonds, two of baguette style and eight round. It has a sunburst finish. It is in perfect condition with no signs of ageing under magnification. 
 
Hands: 
The hands are original of baton design, in a silver tone. They are very good with only some very slight marks under magnification.
 
Glass: 
The acrylic sapphire crystal is original with date magnifier and etched Rolex crown. It is in un-marked condition.
 
Crown: 
The Rolex crown is original and in good condition, functioning as it should, screwing down well.
 
Case:
The case is formed of white gold and is in good condition with light surface scratching. It has had the finish re-done in the past. The case has a polished finish to the top, with brushing to the rear of the lugs. The 18ct white gold fluted bezel is good with polished finish which shines in the light.
 
Caseback:
The case back is white gold and is in good condition with brushed face and polished exterior. The brushed face has been protected by a service sticker. 
The polished finishing has some light surface scratching associated with ageing. The coin edge is good, without obvious wear, with no signs of poor opening attempts. It has had the finish re-polished in the past.
 
Strap: 
The watch comes on its original 18ct white gold ref 83209 bracelet which is in very good and tight condition, with no sag and only light surface scratching.
 
Movement: 
The movement is a Rolex calibre 3155. It is a chronometer grade automatic movement with a jewel count of 25 and a frequency of 18,000 BPH. It has a date function and a day of the week indicator.
 
The movement was serviced last when the watch was purchased from Watches of Switzerland Pre-owned. It’s keeping time to within +3 seconds deviation a day, with an amplitude of 295 degrees and a beat error of 0.0m/s.
