2014 Helson Porthole Bronze and Titanium watch, ETA 2824-2, 44mm
 
Helson are a microbrand which have gained attention for creating serious divers and sports watches, with unique designs.
 
This watch is an excellent piece of design which looks like a ship porthole, especially with the 3mm thick, curved crystal. There is no other design out there like this, that’s for sure. We would consider this watch a real gem, although it’s a much larger watch than or usual offering.

Dial: 
The dial is a beautiful black base tone with large hour markers, batons for 9 and 3 and Arabic numerals for 12 and 6. 
 
Hands: 
The hands are original and have bright super luminova.
 
Glass: 
The Sapphire crystal is original and is in perfect condition.
 
Crown: 
The crown is original and is in excellent condition. 
The crown for the bezel lock is also in excellent condition. 
 
Case:
The front of the case is formed of Bronze and is in excellent original condition. It has some oxidisation marks just from storage. The case is large and sturdy.
 
Caseback:
The case back is screw back and is formed of Titanium. It is in perfect condition and is signed “Titanium, No.90, Sapphire, ETA 2824-2, Bronze, 500m”. The rear sapphire crystal is in excellent condition. This is a well crafted back.
 
Strap: 
The watch is on its original 24mm rubber strap with a large, Bronze buckle in perfect condition. 
 
Movement:
The movement is an ETA 2824-2 which is a classic and dependable movement, rarely found outside of the Swatch group these days. 
 
The service history is unknown, but the movement is in good condition cosmetically and is keeping good time. It has a daily loss of -7 seconds a day.
