This model of Carrera Twin Time is an excellent piece of design, which is very affordable in the pre-owned market. The watch strikes a balance between functionality and simplicity. The GMT function is a useful and minimalistic addition to this model. It is executed well and this makes it easy to interpret. A slim, polished GMT hand, with its bright red tip, points to the inner chapter ring displaying 24 hour scale.
The dials base tone is Anthracite, with a very attractive graining and sunburst finish radiating from the centre. This brings the attention to the centre of the dial, with the tapered hour markers also directing the eyes. The date window is black Arabic text on a white disc, with a silver polished surround.
The hour and minutes hands are simple, with a silver polished finish and facted sides, lined with luminescent material.
The front of the case is Stainless Steel and has a polished finish. It is a good fit for many wrists with a width of 41mm. The angular design of the lugs is particularly appealing.
The screw case back is Stainless Steel and is of exhibition style with a sapphire crystal, creating a window to the movement. It is signed “Automatic 100 meters, Carrera, Swiss Made since 1860”, with the reference WAR2021-0, with the serial number WEE3759.
The sapphire crystal is original and is in very good condition with no marks or scratching. The crown is original and is signed with the Tag Heuer logo. It is in good condition.
The Alligator leather strap is original to the watch and is a green/grey tone. The clasp is original and is signed Tag Heuer. It has a polished finish and will fit any sized wrist comfortably.
The movement is a Tag Heuer Calibre 7 which has 25 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 BPH, with a power reserve of 50 hours. It has a GMT hand for a second time zone, as well as a date function and central second hand. The movement is in good condition cosmetically and is running perfectly. It has a daily loss of -1 second.
